how bought Andrew makes a donation thing for the web site and he has like a monthly aim of how much $$he gets to help run and expand the web site.... becuase it wouldn't be cheap.

This has been brought up a bunch of times and though it is not totally out of the question, I think I would prefer to keep paying for the site on my own because I would not feel right accepting money from you guys. If you really want to help just buy stuff from the SR Store and tell everyone you know to do the same because that is what pays for this place plus you get cool stuff for your money instead of nothing! I am also gearing up to get companies advertising on SR to help pay because as you said... it is FAR from cheap to run this place.

Thanks, but it has nothing to do with PROTO. I have been contacting a lot of other companies right now trying to get their products in the SR Store. When that happens I encourage you to buy whatever you want, not just what is available now, because ANYTHING sold through the SR Store will help me pay for and improve the site, community and sport.

I say have a donation button. There are about 7K members on SR. About a grand don't use their accounts I'm guessing? So if everyone donated 2 bucks you'd have 12 thousand dollars.

Basic banner ads help bring revenue without causing a (big) problem. I'm all for no pop-up ads though, and they're useless anyway because most people use some kind of popup-blocker nowadays.
