Pop Rivets?

I know its possible, but would it be feasible to pop rivet a flex fender to a deck? You'd use smaller holes, it'd stay tight and dialed...It seems like a good idea.

i did it and hated it, but i may have been useing really weak rivots. ask mathew d , i think he did it and said it worked great.

After using your brake after a little while it would end up un-squeezing the ends of the rivets and they would pull through. Depends on what rivets you use though and you would probably want to put the rivets through a little piece of rubber or something

If the rivets where big enough to not pull through, they would get stretched out over time.

I have some HD 3/16 and 1/4" stainless steel rivets at the shop that would hold a flex fender on through a nuclear blast......but my question is why?? Imo, it would suck to have the brake "permanently" attached to the deck. I like to take my bra.ke off when i put on new grip tape too, it only takes a few seconds and with a little blue threadlocker you never have to worry about the bolts comming loose.

Its just a theory. I'd love to see it, but dunno how well it'd work..

If you really wanna try it just go to you local Fastenall(screw&bolt/hardware store). and buy some hi strength 3/16"stainless steel rivets. They will hold it on fine but you'll want at least 2 if not 3 rivets.
The rivits are cheap but the rivet gun is somewhat expensive...
Btw, there is a BIG difference in strength, between hi-strength stainless steel and crappy aluminum rivets.
