problem with headset/forks/bars

so i just got a new canecreek head set, i have an inward fork and inward bars. the fork is threadless, but no matter how hard i hammer the bars on, they wont go down all the way. ive taken a rubber mallet to the bars as hard as i can and tightened the compression as much as it would. it still wobbles and its really pissing me off. im desperate for help. any thoughts?

put spacers on your fork.

spacers is your best option

okay, and where can i get these?

go to your local bikeshop and ask for a 1 1/8" headset spacer of 10mm high. You should be fine.

Or your starnut isnt far enough in your bars.
