Problems With my Camera=(

OK i bought a JVCMiniDv Video Camera that takes cassete tapes. i have a firewire for it and when i plug it in to my camera i kan upload everything but when i go to save it says not uploaded correctly. I dont kno what im doing wrong if theres something you can do to help please tell me
