Progression

So.. I've been riding scooters for probably already 2.5years. It took me probably 6 months if not a year to land my first tailwhip then I learnt 360s not long later. Now , for more than a year I've been landing only single whips , 360s , barspins and that's about it. I learnt tables a few months ago though. K so I ride badly.

I'm 15 and I see kids much younger than me in videos doing much better stuff and they've been riding for a much lesser time than me. Now , I don't ride everyday anymore. I love going to skateparks but that's only once every few weeks. I feel like an idiot to be honest lol. Why do you guys think I don't land new tricks? I just got to grow some balls?

How often in general do you land new tricks?

i land a new trick or re learn an old trick almost every time i ride, like today i landed my first bar to 50-50/quarter stall or whatever u want to call it, took sooo many go's and landed on my ass that many times but i got it once and was happy with it

I had that problem too, just huck it. Try something that you never even tryed before and then watch the video and see what you're doing wrong, then correct yourself.

I use to be all into the cool big tricks, i use to learn new tricks, or combos with my tricks every time i rode.

Then i started biking and began not really caring about many tricks, just going fast and boosting, its way funner, i can still do all those fancy tricks that i use too but i just dont care for them much anymore

Watch videos, and attempt the tricks you see when you get the chance.

Thats what i do.

for a long time i only settled for just tailwhips and just riding around, and I regret that. Its a matter of thinking to yourself then wanting to learn, then going to learn. You gotta have the determination to do it.

well, obviously some people are just more talented than others...and a lot of it is how much determination you have to progress. sometimes you feel motivated to go out and land something new, sometimes you don't. as long as your having fun doing it, then i wouldn't worry.

i recently decided to stop being a pussywillow and man up. and now i learned bar to bars, bar to whips, trucks, almost triples, lipslides, i actually air now, like more then 3 inches above the coping. full cabs.

i dont know why. i just. but yeah. just keep riding. and have fun. and if you wanna learn a new trick, try it.

I have that same problem. What I do though I say today all I'm going to work on doubles. And for the whole day I just try them over and over and eventually you will get it. Also video taping and watching them to see what your doing wrong helps alot.

I'm like logan, I never do new tricks anymore, for me I have way more fun just riding around, flowing bowls, idgaf about learning new tricks really until I get everything else I already know consistent, clean, and stylish.

style and cleaness of tricks is better than number of tricks imo id rather agve all my tricks dialed then have more and have to try 10 times to land them evrytime i learn a trick get it dialed then move on usually
