I am interested in getting a thresh, but I do want to reduce the weight on it so I might as well try the drop-out slimming and speed hole techniques. The people who have done this, what are the pros and cons?

I cut the dropouts the other day on mine cause they were cracked, but yes feebles are barely only a little bit harder. But it doesnt really take out much weight or anything, like a barely noticeable amount, but if you mess up on it you just screwed up a $200 deck. But good luck dude

The hole in the middle saves a surprising amount of weight, a friend of mine did it and it feels light af. Thresholds look heavy but really they're actually not. Idk if its because theyre so well balanced but its seriously just as easy to throw all your fast spinny whippy tricks round then it is on like a district.

But I dont think youll need to even drill any holes unless your used to something ridiculously light like an addict deck
