...You must mean Sliders, sliders are a much harder urethane than grippers.

Grippers are smoother and faster than Sliders but sliders are farrrrr more durable, and I personally like them more.

Im very sketchy because i just started and i just got my tailwhips down so when i land i land really sketchy and when i dont land i slam my wheel down so hard theres like small cracks on my phoenix wheels....

The harder the wheel the faster the wheel. So no grippers are not faster. I recommend sliders because for what terrain and circumstances you have described. They will last longer as a beginner.
