I love Proto like nothing else, but these two things pissed me off. The brake destroys your wheel even with the bend, the brake dug a like 2-3mm groove in my wheel. Not a big deal, I can ride it, but it is really annoying. And the lifetime warranty thing is ridiculous, there is no other way to describe it. Multiple times Alex and You said the deck has a lifetime warranty, even the website said it at one time I believe. That was one of the major reasons I bought the deck and you guys just change it/ say it is wrong. People spent this much on the deck so they don't have to pay $180 to replace a headtube, and now that benefit is gone. It's stupid. I will always support the shit outta Proto, but this is straight up dumb.
Currently a one year warranty is 12 times longer than any other deck manufacturers written warranty on the market so we feel that is pretty generous.
We are running a business not a charity, sorry. Thanks for the support.

Yes you do run a business. A 1 year warranty is great, but from the beginning you told us several times that the necks had a lifetime warranty and now you changed it without telling it to the public in a good way?

We launched a brand new website to the public with all of our new warranty information. Is that not a good way to get the message across? I understand you don't like the fact that we changed our warranties but the fact that our warranties are still the best in the industry and we back and replace all defective products in their respective time frames confuses me a little that you would be so distressed over it.

There are companies manufacturing in China for dirt cheap with enough time and money to warrant all of their defective products who do no such thing or with such limited warranties that it is laughable. Please look at the big picture.

Ive seen the big picture since long and you guys are doing some really nice work backing your products up. But to only announce your new warranty through your site which is only a couple of weeks old is not really a good way to get the message out to the public because I really can't see people sitting and watching your site from time to time too see if you have made any changes to your warranties when you have mentioned several times that the necks have a lifetime warranty.

Done is done and some people didn't get the message and I still love your products and I hope that you would release a 22*5" long deck as that would be a dream:)

I am not mad about the warranty changing so much as I am about how you guys preached about your "lifetime warranty" and then you just go and change it, but it is done and I can live with that.

Not saying your warranty isn't generous, but you can't just tell people it has a lifetime warranty and then just change it like that, not cool...

yea, the reason i got the deck and didn't mind it was expensive is that i knew the neck has a lifetime warranty. but now since it doesn't,it kinda sucks :/
