Yo when are the new head tubes gonna be out? I just got a 19"x4" deck with the 81.5 ht angle in a trade. For me it is almost impossible to ride properly. I'm not saying that in an opinionated manner as if I prefer different specs on a deck, but I mean it is physically impossible to ride due to the lack of foot space, and the head tube being placed so far into the deck. My ultra pro has over an inch more of foot space than the Orion. NO, I DON'T HATE THE DECK. I am just concerned. I hope the new head tubes will fix the cram. I might mod the head tube for more foot space by hack sawing a portion out while also trying to contain its strength (Yeah I know this would void the warranty). I think I could make it work. So yeah.

Tom, the new headtubes give an extra inch of footspace so that the decks have an "average" amount of footspace for their respective sizes. The new headtubes will be available soon.

Ok here's the deal. I got my Proto Orion in a trade. It came with the brake installed, but had scs bolts as the brake bolts, so they stuck out of the deck. I went to the hardware store and bought some flat-headed bolts to be flush with the deck's surface. I took the brake off to replace the bolts, but I cannot get the damn thing back on. I am having the worst struggle when it comes to putting the nut on the bolt deepest inside the deck. It's just too far to reach. I cant use my hand cuz the brake prevents it from getting in the deck. I have tried everything including holding the nut with needle nose pliers. Andrew really should have designed the deck for easier brake installation. Phoenix, TSI, Blunt all have space under the brake for easy access. How do you install it properly???? PLEASE I NEED HELPZ.

its not hard to install the brake at all just buy the brake screws from freestyle depot they are counter sink screws that have an allen key head so just take off your back wheel and replace the bolts.

That wouldn't have helped at all no offense. That just wasn't the problem I was having. The reason I am saying "wouldn't" is because I actually ended up installing it myself. Idk how I did it. I just remember it as a blur of intense concentration an miraculous success.

To be honest, im not riding anything proto... epic bars and for, HIC, phoenix wheels, district deck, yet, im sitting here watching the catalyst DVD OVER AND OVER and im thinking, I love proto (first metalcores i ever had. lasted me forever <3

only thing stopping me from riding an orion deck? no cash! (and i cant have my district brake :p )

well you could have a district brake on it when ever they put out the UBS bracket

We should have replacement deck hardware for sale pretty soon.

well i got my deck yesturday, even though it was the wrong size this dec is fucking amazing. but i have the old headtube so i have no foot space but im getting the 5 by 21. for whoever things its not worth 250 bucks is a fucking dumbass. once you ride this deck you will be inlove. its lighter than my old pheonix. it whips like a dream. the break has built in threads so its super easy to put the break in. but this deck will take you a bit you get used to how big the headtube is. I <3 ORION

im going to get one october is there by chance that i could just pick it up from the proto shop i live like 20-30 minutes away from it and dotn want to pay 20 dollars for shipping
