Proto problem

Ok so i have had my new proto wheels for a while but i havent riden them yet. so i went to put in the bearings and once they get inside the wheels all the way they just completley stop spinning.

they're brand new reds, and i did use an axel bolt to put them in but it just wouldn't tighten enough to push one bearing in all the way.

this happens if u hit the bearing too hard and u crushed the thing that holds the balls (dont be immature) so yeah be more careful putting them in, use a piece of wood or a rubber mallet between the wheel and the hammer to not crush the bearing. this happened to me, my bearings stopped working after i put them in my eagles. so yeah you cant fiz the bearings, so yeah... lock.

are you joking? im with my friends dad and hes an engineer and it isnt working. i kno the problem but its not fixable. when i put the bearing in the wheel, it compresses the outer bearing race until its touching the balls (be mature boys) and the balls dont spin at all.

If you use a vice you shouldn't have any problems. It could be that by using the bearing method you're pulling the center of the bearing while the outside isn't moving as much because it's too tight against the inside of the core. But if you're using a vice you can press everything in equally.

i did the way in that video, using a front axle instead though, and the bearings wouldn't go in straight. I had to use a hammer and a piece of wood to get it to go in. The bearings got messed up and at first it wouldn't spin at all but its gotten better somehow.

This happened to me too. I now I have a useless proto. I'm just gunna drill out the bearings with a drill gun because they are fucked now.
