proto scs problem

Nope, so I need to cut it?
But still, would this effect how easily it slides on and off the fork?

my youtube fucking hates me, videos not uploading :[

tried taking it apart and re doing it up with 1 to 4 headset spacers, just makes the lip further away... ? and still it didn't tighten the headset, or the SCS. So thats not my problem, I don't think.

pic of what i mean by the top cap not making connection with the fork tube. It's tightened all the way, by the way.

Oh, that. No, that isn't supposed to make contact with the fork tube. If it did, it wouldn't be compressing the headset. I thought you meant the top seal. Yeah, that SCS is FUBAR. Just go HIC.

YESSSSSSS CLOSEEE EEETTT!!!!
Rode down to my friends house and he gave me the proto star that came with his SCS. Magically, IT WORKED!!!!!!! Fucken topcap!!!!!
THANKS GUYS!!!

OHHHHH. That does make sense. If it was a brand new top cap, it probably was keeping the SCS from tightening all the way. Don't use the proto star top cap, it will bend immediately. Trust me, it will bend. Just sand down the top cap you were using.

Depending on what top cap you have, it might be shaped in a way that would make it actually touch the top of the fork. But just for future reference, never cut down a ZG fork. You will mess up the integrated threads and then you would have no fork to use.
What top cap is it btw?
