all you have to do is tighten your axles slightly more. honestly, the wheels perform amazingly. who gives a shit.

I used those little spacers, And it worked.

I just put on on each wheel, between the bearing, and bearing spacer.

Close thread.

LOL way to make this thread right after you shipped my grippers :p
jk but just wondering, are the ones you sold me like that at all, or could you get them dialed?

The tape thing, that wouldn't keep my bearing spacers from moving though?

Doesn't matter if bearing spacers move. If they still move after you tighten it then it's not tight enough.

If you put a little bit of hot glue in instead of tape it solves ovalization but it can be tough to get them back out.

Yea if you ever have a problem with your wheels again its either your spacer, your bearings, or your wheel is ovalised.

I stripped 3 axle nut's in the process of doing this.

Get a bolt like this the same diameter as your axle, put some spare bearings on it, then crank on it with a socket wrench. Works easily, do that next time instead hahah

Wheels shouldn't ovalise in a week.

I didnt even bother reading through the whole thread.
When proto made the second batch of wheels, they made the bearing slots just a very small fraction of an inch bigger for "easier installation". The wheels arent ovalised, people always say that before they do any damn research. Ive seen this same thread over and over.
Use some tape and dont be biased about it, just ride.

BTW, dont get butt-hurt. This is just me kinda venting nothing personal.

I still think it's kinda ridiculous. Ovalizing is the most annoying thing on the planet, and tape doesn't always work. Actually it's almost never worked for me. Only lasts like 5 minutes. And a company as high and mighty as Proto should be able to eliminate that problem.
