Not necessarily. Have you seen how thick those cores are compared to all this other chinese bullshit?
Look up the video tutorials on how to tape the bearings. Youre probably doing it how I did the first time. You press them in and the tape just peels off. If you actually do it the right way, the wheels will be fine.

ive had my spoked proride wheels for a WHILE now, like over 8 months, and they never ovalized, dehubbed, or showed any sign's of breaking.. i love them ahha..

i fixed mine by making the spacer smaller which lets the bearings tighten up a little bit, no need for tape at all then

CJ, that's not the point. Wheels shouldn't ovalise in a week.
