Putting Race on French ID fork

What is the easiest way to get the race on to the fork? I cant get it all the way on

The easiest way would be a crown race setter.

put the race on ur fork and take a hammer and lightly hammer all sides till its all the way down

i tried that, the race wont fit over the rim thing on the bottom

what works the best, is if you have an old stock bearing cup, put the small side that goes into the headtube to ur race and hammer at it the cup.

get a stock pro fork. put the crown race on the frid fork. take the stock fork put it over the frid and hammer each side of the fork, the crown race goes on.

Take a torch and just heat up the race, then put it on. should slide on like a charm, give it like 2 min to cool down and your good to go.
