Maddgear decks are okay, but the wheels brake easily and the forks go all wonky.
Couldn't say much about other brands because i haven't rode much, but I'm pretty sure Razors are good and phoenix's are rubbish and over expensive. -.-

Proto wheels are big time quality, everyone here (locally) with them have been riding the same pair for well over a year. They are one of the few companies who rock the cromo forks and I love that. I would rather have it bend then snap and send me into the pavement
