I've never heard of that happening, But I would not even consider buying baby SCS.It just doesn't look right.

I got a baby scs, a used one at that and I've had it since February, and if it weren't for changing my forks and cleaning my headset, I would never have to take it apart, and as long as your bars have no slit and you can propely tighten a clamp, your bars won't fall out

Unless you have a slit in your bars or you can't tighten a clamp, your bars will not fall out of the clamp. I've had my baby scs for 1.5 years and no problems with my bars coming out

That is interesting. I would say that the clamp is stretched or something? My brother rides a 3 inch SCS and the last time we tightened it was about 5 months ago.

as our sport is young with no exacting standard universally, different bars and forks with different tolerances when put together wrong will make one end of the scs more effective than another and for the bars to come out that's usually the bars being too small or fork being too large which makes the clamp tighten unevenly thus not the full pressure on the bars to hold it in place, when the fork tube is too small/bars too big, it feels like the headset is loose. easy guide to know if everything is correct is if your parts fit together with minimal stretching of the clamp but when the clamp is loose, the clamp should still fit snugly and with pressure, should slide onto the fork tube/bars slide in. i suggest putting in a grub screw thru the clamp that locks the bars into place in case of the worst happening.

USA made bars are gennereally 0.65 thickness and chinese made bars are generally 0.58 thickness and other countrie are diffferent too so this affects how tight it is in the scs... if anything it is not the scs problem but the bars or fork as billy states
