*Raw* Bars

I heard that raw bars rust if you don't paint them? I was planning on getting some bars from inward-scooter but $15.00 is ridiculous for that much paint. I can just borrow my friends paint equipment.

...Or can I just keep them raw?

15 dollars is for POWDERCOAT paint meaning it wont chip and look like shit. Especially since scooter kids cant paint for shit

Dude, 15 bucks for powdercoat, not spraypaint. Powdercoat stays on for a long time. They like blast the powder on and bake it.

I've heard that if you just rub some sort of oil on the bars it will prevent them for rusting, and you won't have to clear them. Look into it, kids.

paint them! one coat of primer, another in 12 hours. after 24 hours of drying put on the paint, 2 layers, then after 12 hours another 1 or 2. then 24 hours later put on clearcoat, about 2 layers. it takes about 2 days, BUT TRUST ME, after i put them on my scooter all my friends were asking which powdercoating option i picked on inward ahahaha

sand it so the paint sticks and you can use wd-40 to prevent it and to take any rust off and if the bars hav rust they sell this green pad that is reely ruff and you can spray wd-40 and scrub it so it will take the rust right off and it acually looks cool after

Ya it works but you have to reapply in in regular intervals and it stays sticky so crap will get stuck to the bars.

Rattle can spray paint is garbage, no way around it. You can prep, clean, and coat a thousand times and it always chips. Powder coat them or you will get chips and rust spots no matter what.
