rawing cores?

im gunna raw my proto gripper, its blue core right now and i want it black. sooo im gunna use a scotchbright pad to raw it? would that work?

I dont know if this will work (not tried) but maybe just some of that white masking tape over the pu,then use spray on aircraft paint stripper and just wipe way the paint.

You can't use paint stripper to strip anodized things, try and get ahold of a sand blaster they work perfect.

Dirt, I've sand blasted multiple cores, it doesn't fuck the urathane or slots at all.

don't put the wheel in the oven cleaner to long, just like 10 mins or till the paint is gone.

sorry for the major ass bump but could you just get some oven cleaner and rub off the anodize finish with a rag or something? i really want to do this with my eagle

I used oven cleaner and a scotch brite pad on metal cores that were red and it didnt come out like a clean raw color it was wierd. It was like pinkish dirty raw after.. Youre better off just painting your cores silver

i used a dremmel it worked quite nicely on my protos it does chip and burn the surface after but you still get the silver look when finished.
