rawing SCS

i am going to be rawing my scs. will it rust if i dont clear coat it, is it made of aluminum?

You can't really CNC chromoly very easily, so they are 100% aluminum.
While aluminum doesn't really rust much it's better safe than sorry to clear coat it cause once it gets worn, YOURE FUCKED

uhhh aluminum does not rust if you clearcoat it all it will do is make it look glossy

Aluminum DOES RUST but it doesn't rust easily. It's better to not have any rust at all near your headset or on your fork tube, than hoping a splash of water that's not cleaned doesn't rust out your SCS.

yeah i never thought of it that way. its better to be safe than sorry when it comes to that type of stuff. im just going to clear coat it just in case

ya aluminum doesnt rust all the way through but it will have the rusted look after its worn because it will just sit on the top
