Stoked to see everyones feed back =)
We will be selling parts separately for the dirt scooter.
-Bars
-Forks
-Decks
-Tires/Tubes/Hubs
-Flex Fender cartridges
-Pegs
We are currently working on a flex fender and pegs as accessories.
Riding pegs on the dirt scooter is soo much fun too, you can do some pretty manly icepicks.
As far as release dates.. Yeah believe me I know its annoying, I'm notorious for taking a while on things.
A few things come into play with the setbacks.
-Production
We have to make sure that we are getting proper quality from the factory, so every time
a relevant change is made to a part, or on any branded parts, we request a sample for testing.
(Tires, brakes, axels, hardware)
-Manufacture
The dirt scooters quality was only just 100% approved in June, and so
manufacturing began just a few months ago.
There is only a certain amount that can be made within a months time, (Factory's output)
so we must wait on the factories to make enough dirt scoots in box to fill a container for international shipping.
Now, the reality is.. We have been making a lot of changes to the Phase Two Dirt Scoot to ensure its quality.
Ive been given a big opportunity working for Razor and Phase Two work as both a designer, and engineer in making new products, but my ethics as a rider are what determines my approval of Phase Twos Designs and products.
I love to listen to good and bad feedback, because I can determine what people want from both and improve on my designs to keep people happy.
With that in mind, I would rather spend time producing my scooter with the right quality, rather than just getting it out to market to beat the competition that has started from its interest.
As a rider I know if someone else had chose making a scooter quickly to get the cash, over
making a scooter the right way so people wont have to ride a piece of crap, Id lose respect for them.
The dirt scoot wasn't just made with my friends as a get rich quick scheme.
I knew we all would like a strong, lightweight dirt scooter that is inexpensive and fully supported by the company that makes it, even if it means the original dirt scooter won't hit a deadline and be out before its competition.. It has do be done right.
We didn't intend to jerk you all around with release dates.
I just wanted to try and keep everyone who was interested in the loop with what was currently expected to happen, but things had to change for the right quality.
Hope that answers your questions.
I promise that you will be able to buy and walk out of a store with a dirt scooter in November at the latest.
