Me, Radtke, Illig, Owens, Twan and like 5 other guys who I can't remember their names (sorry I'm bad with names).Danny WarDick said:Who all went?
It was good riding with a big group but the park is a piece.Kc Corning said:how was it?
It might have been nice the day they resurfaced but the problem is is they used masonite to resurface not skatelight so it lasted all of a couple weeks now almost every single ramp is cracked and soggy. Not to mention there is only like 1/3 of the original ramps left because they had to scrap and salvage everything because it was never maintained. The new setup has no lines and the ramps are choppy and rough as shit. Everything is waaaayyyy too big for anyone other then bikers and there is no way to get speed for anything without kicking for a mile. The halfpipe is still fun but even that is getting pretty run down. Also, it isn't Real Ride anymore... it is The (BMX) Compound www.dacompound.com now... a BIKE park. It is 100% biker friendly and not worth the drive or the $10 to get in. Plus they charge $8 now to ride their disgusting foam (supposedly to help pay for new foam) now so there really isn't anything good about that place unless you bike.kyle christensen said:the_SD_local said:Real Ride is officially the shittiest park ever.
haha i thought it was like 687463 times better because all the ramps got all resurfaced?..o well i wanted to go so bad.
I fucking dont get how do you people consider such park shitty. It has every kind of obstacle, a foam pit, a roof, everything. A typical skatepark in Poland consists of a funbox, a qp or a bank, either a rail stuck in the ground or a grindbox and that's it. You, Cali kids must be damn spoilt with all those parks you have, you can always say 'This park sucks' and then move yourself to another park just across the street.the_SD_local said:Real Ride is officially the shittiest park ever.
Yes, we are spoiled but you wouldn't drive an hour in 105 degree heat to pay $10 to ride a run down park then another $8 just to ride some rotten foam (unless you really had a special trick in mind) not to mention the money you spend in gas ALL while a perfectly nice and FREE concrete park is within 15 minutes of where you live. We might sound spoiled but you wouldn't be going to Real Ride either if you lived here.Pete Pachota said:I fucking dont get how do you people consider such park shitty. yeah the foam pit pretty much sucks. one kid that was teaching me how to backflip broke his ankle on either a bar or somthing else inside of the pit. i think it was something connecting the trampoline, anyway, i ended up hitting my back square on it cuz i over rotated the flip and that wasnt to much funJohn Radtke said:yeah, andrew pretty much said it all.
But one thing i would add is that their foam pit was sopossedly rebuilt, but the idiots made it even smaller.
some of my friends that went there recently have hit the sides.
The "new foam" has been sitting in their office for 2 months now and they have been charging the additional 3 $ to pay for foam for the entire time.
