intelligent design is ridiculous to be called science. It's the same principle as when people said diseases were caused by God, just because they didnt know why. You can't explain something by just assuming its unexplainable. The Supreme Court ruled against it being taught in schools since it's really just a cover for Creation, which is religion.

the supreme court overruled it because it involved god, and for some reason its illegal to bring up god in public schools.

and scientists can explain many principles of the universe now. thats where it comes from. the things theyve come to understand are so complex that its hard to believe it was just a random thing. before he died, einstein began to accept that there had to be a higher power because he believed that the world was so crazy it couldnt have occurred randomly. so i guess you can say einstein was one of the creators of intelligent design, and he was like WOAH.

Well the only real thing i can say about my religion at this point is that im having trouble seperating what i believe and what im told to believe from my parents/grandparents/friends ect.

keyword is random. nobody thinks anything randomly popped up. I don't feel like writing an essay, but all the complex shit is by no means random

i know what youre talking about. i watch shows on discovery/national geographic/science channels about the creation of the world and all that stuff alot caus im a loser, so i get what you mean.

instead of random, such an exact series of events, over billions of years, had to happen, in order, or we wouldnt be here right now. what im saying is the chances of this just happening are so unbelievably small, that i find it hart to believe our existence is just a series unrelated occurrences, as opposed to a world somehow started by a higher being.

i dont know if anyone read that, but yeah i totally understand if people disagree, its open to a lot of interpretation.

i was laughing (literally) when my living environment teacher said that we were going to learn about the different types of evolution and why its controversal and stuff. we are goign to go in depth with this and its weird because i get in trouble alot for talking out in class and what not but not at all today... i find that shit really interesting. its just cool to learn about where you might've come from. even if you could've been created from god or some other higher being, i dont know right now it just seems more logical that it started out as one celled organisms, they reproduced asexually, started to diferrentiate and create more dna in the process and just became complex over billions of years. it is really such a long time period i think something like that is possible. but really i dont think that religion can be all that fake either. how could you get so much of the entire world population to believe all of that if it was just lies? im sure at least some of the things are true behind the different religions. and there are just so many different subjects people could touch upon this thread could really be huge with all the discussion.

no matter how long it takes, even if it is billions of years, wher did it all start.. wher did the one celled organism com from??

that leads me to believe that ther is a higher being.. im a catholic therfor i belev in God

right condition in the atmosphere: temperature, moisture, and gases present, basically fused and life started. im not sure what all the exact science stuff is, but thats basically what i believe.

maybe i shouldve said this before, but i dont believe god directly created life. i believe he shaped the universe to become what it originally was, and out of that life started. i dont believe god specifically created a one celled organism that went on to become everything living on the planet today.

but wher did the moisture and the gases com from?

i know i keep on coming back to the same point but, it always comes down to it... nothing means that ther wasnt even an atmosphere ther wasnt even a certain temperature,

nothingness is very hard to comprehend, but yea, if you get wat im sayin thats good cos i dont think that i do, lol
