Replacing Clamp Idea

Do you think that you could drill a hole through ure bars the fork and put in an axle and tighten it?
It would be much easier to loosen one bolt than 2 or 3.
IDK though.... would it make it weaker? Or would it work?

drilling a hole through your fork, would make it allot weeker. if your too lazy to take off your bars, and re-tighten your clamp onto your fork, than thats sad. its not even hard, all you do it tighten. its fast just the way it is. so bottom line is NO, drilling a hole through your fork and through your bars so you can take them off and putt them on easier would be a bad idea because you would be weakening the fork tube strength.

I have C4 bars and you have to over tighten it a ton so thats why I was thinking about this... and I have a single clamp and a double clamp on them.

yeah i have thought about this before but i dont think it would work. for number one it would weaken the fork and number two i dont think you would be able to get it tight enough, and even if you could it would take just as much effort if you used a clamp

it would make it weaker def. and dont be lazy just use a clamp. and if ur to lazy and dont want to tighten two bolts then use a SINGLE CLAMP. problem solved!

It does work. Well it worked for me, though i had a bolt and a clamp to take come of the pressure off the bolt/forks. I took it out because if you need to adjust you're headset in ANY way this whole idea of the bolt just melts to shit as the bold holds the headset in one fixed possition.

i wouldn't cuz i've seen forks snapped on little things and i dont think i would trust a whole in it, it would probably think that it would be weaker
