Resin filled foldy

I saw that you can get a resin filled foldy for a micro, and I was just wondering if the stock ones break that easily and if the resin ones are necessary. Also Hep Gregs bullet didn't have one and if he doesn't need it then I don't, but I don't know if he ordered one. Another question is would it be hard to do it myself?

Also, are the double neck collar things necessary? Because I know they are not expensive but I don't want to pay the big shipping and have to wait like a month

Im guessing by double neck collar things you mean a double clamp? If so, they're not necessary but they do hold your bars tighter to the fork. Just go to local bike shop and ask for a double clamp.

no I mean the things that are where the neck on the headtube would be in a pro, the things that connect the foldy to the headtube

ok, double neckplates are necesary because if u ride singles they'll snap.
and you MUST ride you foldy with resin or i'll rip easily. it doesnt matter if you buy it already with the resin or if you fill it with resin..

i'll make a thread soon of how to reinforce a micro properly ok? but maybe tomorrow, i'm tired right now

ya thank you that would be so helpful because I'm getting a micro but I want to make sure I'll know how to properly reinforce it so I don't have to pay ton of money on the micro website so try to do it tomorrow

If you don't want to pay so much money go and search an CNC Specialist and ask him if he can do the neckplates and the foldy part.
Btw I'm getting 3mm thick neckplates outta steel and some CNC-foldy things soon.

No need really for CNCed plates and stuff...if you're already making a new foldy, make it one piece, 2 plates from the deck to the head tube...

Just look what scooterperu did and there you go :)

so guys, whats the best type of resin to use? i know people so i have easy access to literally anything. but what kind is strongest and best adheres to aluminum? most of the stuff i know is for boatbuilding, so its probably not ideal. what is? NOOBS, IDIOTS OR PEOPLE WHO ARE ONLY PRETENDING TO KNOW; DON'T BOTHER TO ATTEMPT AN ANSWER.
