Please Please Please Please Please get a reventon.
They are light, have great concave, a perfect hta, comes with a brake and headset, and feels more solid. Dont get me wrong the threshold is a great deck, but I promise you will like the reventon more.

This is a opinionated decision from all aspects. The threshold (which I have ridden) is 200 dollars for a deck alone w/ brake. The Revention is 250 (about) which includes: deck, headset, brake. Now, if you are looking from a money standpoint, youd think the Reventon is better, but a good FSA is about 30 bucks, so buy yourself a Threshold and an FSA and thats around 230ish, which is a better bargain.
Now from a riding aspect, i have ridden the Threshold a few times and it feels amazing, 4.5x20, feels great, but if you like longer decks the Hep sig 4.5x20.6 feels great also. The Reventon only comes in 4.25x19.5 and 4.65x20.5 (not including sig models.) So personally i like the feel of a 4.5 with more foot room so the Threshold is better in my opinion.
Now for the actual riding info (got sidetracked up there) The Threshold is amazing for grinds, the extra grind space that it gives you is incredible. I have never ridden a Reventon but from what I have heard they are a little on the heavier side (all opinion), and I have seen plenty crack, but im sure Thresholds will sooner or later also. So its really your opinion, they both come in just about the same colors but the Reventon has: Green, black, red, and orange. The threshold has: Black, white, green, purple, silver, and raw.
Now thats about all i can give you on the decks from my opinion. I love the threshold and proceeded to buy one for myself just a couple days ago.
Hope you have an easy time figuring your choice out! (sorry for typing more than needed to be said, I personally enjoy more information than not enough.)
Todd.

Very similar, reventon costs more and isn't a tsi. Tsi is what sparked phoenix into existence and I really just trust Matt a lot more, considering he's extremely involved with his customers and is a rider himself. He has been a contributing member to this site and always gives the science behind the tech in his tsi parts, and he also cares about his customers so much. The features of each deck are both very similar but the tsi bottom is gnarlier. I say get the threshold

To those who call dick-ride, I don't even own a TSI part

The threshold it cheaper, lighter, stronger, better looking, better for grinds, and better for finger whips.

You can't go wrong with a TSI, man. I rode the Reventon and it has a really awkward balance. I know I am going for a Hep Threshold soon.

I kinda needed to know this to Haha reventons in aus are only 225 with headset and flex, while thresholds are 220 with just flex but I can't get one in silver and getting a reventon seems like less trouble plus its bigger, not sure if id regret it over a threshold but :s

You would, get a threshold. I've owned both and the threshold is way better than the reventon.

ive rode a reventon, and ive seen a threshold in person at the jersey scooterzone. i would love to ride a reventon IF it wasnt so short. im used to v2is and addicts. so in my personal opinion, i would buy a threshold.

I've recently heard a LOT about both of these decks from the sources. With that being said I don't want to sound too opionionated but I feel like it is an opinion that was earned.

To try and make this brief the reventon is like someone said before a copy off the threshold idea. There IS (fact) less welding done, it is cheaper for pehionix to make than TSI to make a threshold because there is less metal used and less welding involved. The thing you are getting more for by going with a reventon is a variety of colors and some laser etching to make it look better..

For a RIDER though, the threshold is stronger, has more welding, costs TSI more to make than a reventon to pheonix (which I think says a lot about the company sticking to it's foundations, and is $50 cheaper. The headset that Pheonix includes costs them $5 to add in so you are not getting a great bargain by paying $250 for their whole "package deal" and that argument is invalid.

Basically the reventon has a higher markup (makes Pheonix more money), is not AS well built, is smaller than, and is a more flashy looking deck than the threshold.

Better grinding and stronger with the threshold. The end :)

What's so special about a reventon? If the reventon wasnt a phoenix part everyone would hate it. Say Razor or Madd gear made a deck identical in weight, size and geo as the reventon, it would be hated.

Nobody would buy it cause of the weight, or cause of the length, or any of that.

Say Phoenix made a deck identical to the threshold, same specs and weight, it would be the best selling deck, and thats a fact.

People hop off certain companies dicks and choose a deck as if it had no branding on it, choose what the better deck is, and in this case, its the threshold.
