riding bare footed?

yesterday i was riding at my local park and some skater (like 30 years old) was skateing bare footed. I asked him why and he said that he likes how the grip tape feels on his feet.

he didnt do many tricks just carving bowls and stuff.

but i was wondering has anyone seen anyone that rides bare footed. or does anyone ride scooters bare footed?
i just think that is kind of weird and it must hurt your feet.

I've done it just like doing manuals and other chill stuff because i didn't have shoes and i wanted to ride and its just a terrible and stupid choice. Don't do it.

yeah, it would especially hurt on a scooter.
but once at a skatebarn lock in i cruised around the park sock footed.

Dude! we were riding downtown New Hampshire at night, at some ghetto little flowy skate park, and some random 40 year old bum comes out of the bushes, with like no shirt or shoes, hops on a skateboard and starts ripping the place up, throwing down method airs on the tuny 3 feet ghetto qp, it was awesome
