Im buying a ultra pro and want to make it a little nicer. I want to shorten the height of the stock handlebars and paint them, buy a sealed headset and clamp, wheels, and a brake. What problems will i run into? This is for my son.

sounds like you have a good general idea of what you're doing. Only thing i'd change is instead of a new brake, get a new threaded fork perhaps like DSA.

Ultra Pros come threaded. For now, what you're doing is fine. Ultra Pro forks last a while. Be aware that they do not fit 110mm wheels, only 100mm and 105mm. If you want a new fork I'd suggest an Inward Hybrid Offset Threaded fork, or a DSA HD Threaded fork. Threadless is quite expensive.

Is there a thread already started that is maybe dedicated to RUP upgrades. Im not trying to go overboard but I also dont want it to look OG. If i get the threadless headset am I gonna need anything additional? Is the threaded bolt gonna keep the headset tight if I replace it. I want this to be a little better than stock with a good look as well. Lookin for some specific ideas without spending an additional $150.00 dollars. I can get the headset, grips and grip tape cheap from my bike shop.

The threaded bolt will keep the threadless headset tight. Search around, this whole section is about upgrading your scooter.

If you want to make the ultra pro fork laster longer, you can put a tube reinforcement inside of it. You can see a tutorial for it here.

Another thing you may need fairly soon are some new grips Dan's Comp is a good place to browse for grips, but once you find a pair you would want I would suggest searching around for a better price. Dan's Comp has good prices, but the shipping is like $9 so you end up paying around $20 for something you could've found somewhere else online for a total of about $14, or even at a local bike shop for around 7-10 bucks.

Also, after a while, new wheels will be necessary, I would suggest some Demon Metal Cores, a good place to find wheels would be here, because if you live in the US, shipping is free. It's a great web site for all other scooter parts as well.

Buy a flexfender and drill two holes in the deck or if ur too lazy than get a fakey brake or blade brake from inward
