Don't read any of this. I'm warning you that it makes no sense. I just miss seeing the Razor bros.
Most stressful 2 weeks of my life. I got to he point where I dreaded hopping on a scooter cause it meant riding all day and getting my ass beat until I got at least 3 good tricks and 2 decent hammers. The 180 whio and the 360 whip over that cement gap was the worst part cause I landed the same tricks 2 weeks before I got on the team and I wanted them to be in the video the most. Not to sound cocky, but the two tricks without the helmet looked way better not because I did them differently but the camera lighting and angles were more advanced. Reason being that I took so lond to land it that my filmer didn't think I could do it again so he let my friend who never even touched a camera in his life get the shot. However, a few of the tricks were from the LA trip to vist Josh, Ricky, Chris, and Razor. The best part was meeting up with Scott McCormack one day and seeing him do the bail that is at the very end of RVM3 after the credits. Getting In n' Out in the Razor van with the puke from Ali's new dog was also amazing. The seats weren't even bolted all the way so josh nearly flew to the back of the van when Ali pressed on the gas. Riding with Chris Daigle is amazing because he's one of the coolest riders I've met and his riding looks even crazier in person without the special camera angles. I shared a room with him in Japan and we had the funnest time gettin wasted and talking shit to Japanese people cause they don't understand a word. As for Ricky and Josh, they do so much for Razor and the sport that most people don't even know about. Razor is or at least was their main focus in life so those who hate on the company are really taking away from the effort that they put in. They know what you all want in terms of a perfect product but it's nearly impossible to get Razor to go through with it because we are still far away from the majority or Razor consumers. It is in Razor's and your best interests that new, more expensive models aren't created because the company could go out of business. Moreover, it's no news to anyone that lots of people hate razor and some of the members because we are supposidly cocky and dont give back to the scooter community. However, I can personally say (on a serious note for once.......wieeeeeeeerd) that the team has the most fun sitting down at a skatepark and talking about all you guys and how much we want Razor to fly us everywhere, not tolook like celebrities, but so we can hang out with all of you in person. For me, I look forward to going to competitions because I finally get to see the people that I've talked to on a computer for several years. I suck at riding all the parks that competitions are held at and the only reason I placed at TZ comp 2 is because two of the best guys were injured. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I've been up all night taking Adderall because I have paper due for my Middle Eastern Humanities class and I am wired and extremely social. In closing, go out and buy the video because Josh and Ricky put all their time and effort into making a copy that Razor approved of. Many of the best tricks couldn't be used in the video because someone wasn't wearing a shirt or because it was filmed at night. It may sound stupid but Razor gets sued for absurd shit like that. I also want to say that I look forward to riding with the new team riders and filming for RVM4 which will be the craziest video ever, I don't care if that sounds cocky cause face it, it's a scientific fact. Finally, just cause we dont post flyers saying that we're looking for new team riders doesn't mean that we aren't paying attention to the videos that are sent in. Our eyes are everywhere. If you think you have a slight chance then throw a video Ali's way or come to the competitions. It may cost a lot of money to fly but you could get lucky like some of the riders and only have to pay for the first comp. One thing that most people may not get about the team is that we dont pick the members based soley on skill. What's most important is a rider's personality, commitment to the sport, and ability to bring a unique style of riding to the team/family. I'm starting to fade away from those attributes being that I'm in my second year of college, getting old, having to do tons of random shit. But have no fear. I start getting more footage as soon as winter break comes. I have 3 videos to get footage for so I'm thinking of taking a semester break from school. NOW THAT'S THE TYPE OF COMMITMENT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Peace in the Middle East, Rain in Spain
