So, basically I am heading to San Francisco in about a month and I was wondering what some good stuff to do there is? Not really riding-related but just in general good stuff, wanted a local's opinion. Also sorry if this is in the wrong section

well when i went...
Go to alcatraz. Its so sick! Also i went for a bay ride on a boat, walked around looked at shops. You can see some interesting stuff on the streets..

Alcatraz sounds goods, definitely gonna hit that up, also heading to Yosemite Park, pretty hyped

The hills in sf are so steep and busy and its so gnarly to bomb them. My friend hit someone hahaha.

But Alcatraz is really cool. Go check out the golden gate bridge i suggest walking across it. Pier 39 is cool because you can go see sea lions. Then fishermans wharf is cool because you can get really good food there that they got from the bay. Ride a trolley car. Uhh see the transamerican building. That all i can think of right now.

Thanks man, I was going down a hill just on the footpath because the road was bumpy as hell and I full on smashed into some lady's car, with a baby inside, they were so fucking freaked out, it was all good though

Yes, hit up Alcatraz, and go to pier 39 for sure. Also Hmu if you wanna ride anywhere. As for the hills, they are hard to bomb unless you can find a spot that has been closed off, because it's so crowded. And basically everything grant said. But don't forget to check out Chinatown. It's awesome there

I probably won't be riding much/at all, plenty of bombable hills right where I live in sydney anyways, thanks for the suggestions guys

i went there last april!!
best city, great culture and great food!
alcatraz and the golden gate bridge is always good!
shopping in their main square (i forgot the name) was also good!

I live right near San Francisco. Honestly, you can have so much fun in the city without even having a plan. I recommend going to the Mission District (best food), Golden Gate Park, The Ferry Building, Coit Tower, exploring downtown (Market Street), Union Square, Museums, Alcatraz, Crissy Fields (under the Golden Gate). There's countless more things to do. Just explore and eat good food. You'll love SF.

Make sure you hit up the wallenberg 3 block. Even if you're not gonna ride it, it's still pretty sick to see how long it actually is.
Come to think of it, is it sad if that was pretty well the highlight of my trip there?

i did that went i went last summer and it took like 5 minutes just to get down it
pier 39 is pretty fun
i didnt go but i hear alcatraz is cool
oh, ghiradelli (sp?) square is cool too if you like chocolate
