i was looking at this, but more reliable brands are available, and this can't be used with a fisheye. no threads. go with canon, jvc, sony, or panasonic

The DCR HC53 is bad.

You are comparing compressed video quality between two camera's footage on Youtube... thats the worst place to go for to get an example of these cameras. The footage was already compressed then encoded with youtubes shit flash video encoder. The only way to compare footage is with uncompressed DV AVI files. VX2000 does have better quality than the little handycam, but some random kid is barely going to notice the difference. If the DCR footage is captured to the computer properly with firewire, you get DVD quality video, pre-compression, where ANY camera could look like shit

haha yea theres lots of ways to upload footy but the only true way to get the shit right is firewire. if you go through usb you might as well just use a digital camera and a peephole fisheye.... hahaa

it fits the opteka .43 fisheye, the colours are screwed and its sucks in low light, and its hardly hd
