Scooter Strength Limits Sport

I'm really starting to get held back by scooters/wheels just not being strong enough. It's not as bad on park rides on tranny, but on big street gaps to flat, it's killing me. I rode the other day and broke 2 wheels and a deck, and missed tricks cause of it. http://video.dafreak.pri.ee/files/ryansoclose.wmv <--- I want to hit that trick but I really don't think I have any wheels left that can take it. Anyone else feeling the need for way stronger shit, not just for durability, but for not breaking on big stuff?

PS- the thread title sounds like a newpaper article

K...no one needs to be telling Ryan Whetstone....to be going faster off shit..he always does his tricks with plenty of speed...so yea...But Yea Ryan, i do think that decks need to be stronger...its ridiculous to go through so many in one year...

lol. idk then, stuff the deck full of metal plates? I come up with a deck re-inforcement that would be easy to make but idk.....

new, a b model deck, and find a piece of steel that runs the length of the deck, put one side in with the brake and dropout bolts, and put the other side in with those little bolts on the side of the deck near the folding mech on new a decks..

Well Ive been thinking about making a steel deck and I guess it would be easy. You would need to get a 1" thick, 4" wide and 20" long steel pipe. Make a cut out for the back wheel with a saw, drill holes for the axle, brake pin and folding mech screws, then just attach the b model folding mech. I havent tried this so I cant tell how durable would that be, It would prolly depend on the kind of steel you use.

we making decks. just gotta try to make them light enough that people would ride them. ive only ridden 2 As and a viper ever. other than that i rode my own i made for like a year until it got stolen or somthing. it was indestructable but kinda heavy. i could dub whip it flat tho so it wasnt that heavy i guess. few months im hoping to have decks out and maybe sell through KCs site. want them tested goood though.

if you just take a rectangular rod that will fit vertically in your drop outs drill holes to match the brake . and back axel . and then pound it in there . then put the brake in . but it adds a few inches .. so you will have to grind down the spacers .. it works ..adds some weight .. but i can still ride with it ..

yeah they should reinforce them.. eventhough i dont break many.. it is kind of rediculous that they break so easily

Well...after re watching the vclip in Slo Mo...he lands back wheel first..which is putting allll that weight on the drop outs..and thats a pretty gnarly drop...When i used to ride big street, fat sets and ledges...it was always mandatory to try and land leveled(<<that word looks so wierd...did i spell it wrong..?) But anyways...yea Itll def help on big drops and shit, to try and land as leveled as possible.
