scooterflip help

If you fear of hitting your head, think about physics. The gyroscope effect should kind of hold the deck in place if you spin the whole scooter around.

The only problem is that I can't spin it fast enough and everytime I try a scooterflip the scooter ends up nearly taking off my head. Maybe I should kick it or something to make it spin?

that only works if you do them backside like him, frontside you cant kick it

I can do 'em frontside (Barely though lol) Just kicking it helps you get the motion then move on up to fowrds. :D

scooter flips are def not over used haha..and they are a fun trick to do once u get em down..wat kind are u trying? ex:bri flips or scooter flips

definately not bri flips lol, but front scooterflip. When you're stance is regular, you use your left arm to spin the flips right? because my problem might be that I like spinning them right handed, but my stance is left foot forward which is kind of a problem because I probably won't attempt bri flips until I can land consistent scooterflips...

haha i learned back briflips b4 nething else and i do my front scooterflips on my opposite side so i dunno..u kinda just gotta try em =]

after school one day i tried to do a briflip off a 3 step, and i clonked myself in the head, i fell down, rolled and i got blood all over the ground.

well the rotation is fucked up whenever I try doing them without a launch, the only non tranny things I have done bri flips off are out of a concrete bankish street thing and on a bank in a skatepark, with a 180. I still never came close to hitting my head except of trying one handed briflips as the rotation was completely barrel rolled.

just asking?
how do you do a backward scooterflip without taking your hand off?
Technically it is not backward rotation, even though it looks like. You just turn the bar 180 degrees not to twist youre arms. It is like trying to rotate your arm backwards (like in backstroke swimming), as the skin covers all of your body its not possible to technically rotate the arm backwards so you have to twist it around 180 degrees to finish the rotation.

^^Pete's post for all those who speak smack^^: yo mamma's so fat, that you have ta do an x-upfizzle in betweendizzle of yizzle scootfliparizzle YO!

And how do you land briflips properly? I've been practicing the rotation, but whenever it nears my feet, it randomly spins into a mad tailwhip. The only way to prevent this is to land in x-up position which I don't think is right; how do you get out of x-up in midair without the deck spinning?

All help is appreciated!
Thanks.

same problem here, i just gave up lol

scooter flips suck ass, i cant do them at all, so ive given up on them, the way i see it.. if i did learn them, i wouldnt be able to throw in combos since they are like opposite, so ive kindve given up on that trick, but it doesent really matter, its not really my riding.

the trick to briflips/noodles is keeping your wrists loose and flexible cause when there tight it ends up in a whip at the end
