instead of putting a starnut in your fork could you just use a ics bolt and a nylon locking nut on the compression cap. I think it would stay alot solider.
Yes, I did this with HIC and it NEVER came loose. But it's kind of a bitch to tighten seeing how you need to take your bars and wheel off. But it works fine.
I had to use it because my QCS fork was drilled out for ics when I got it. If you can get a starnut in though, it's not worth having the starnut-less compression.
