When the aluminum SCS clamps onto the steel threads it can leave marks on the SCS. I think.

ANYWAY, The little compression nut that came with the razor fork is all you need to compress a headset on a threaded fork. It costs 65$ less than an SCS and weighs less too.

SCS is only needed for threadless because without compression your headset gets wobbly and shitty.

It would just be completely unnecessary, and a huge waste of money for something you don't need.
@ your friend, of course.

The threaded fork also has an OD that's a little smaller than threadless forks, so it won't clamp as well. And, of course, it's pointless.

he needs a thredless fork and threadless headset an then he can use an scs
fixed.

that would be extremely stupid to spend 80-90 dollars on a COMPRESSION SYSTEM for a THREADLESS FORK. you DO NOT need any sort of compression for a threadless fork. a threadless fork will for one screw up the scs itself, not clamp very tightly, and make the fork weaker with all the extra weight/pressure on the fork. also, he will be adding like 7 oz to his scooter FOR NOOOO FREAKING REASON.

if he does this, he will actually be a retard. literally.
