Scs???

How much clearance do you need to have scs? I don't want to use spacers and i can't cut my fork. The fork is a vertx v-max and has a threaded insert.
About 1 1/4 inch is showing.

I am going to buy a regular proto scs. Do I have to use spacers?

those forks are standard length, they fit fine for regular scs as well as hic.

scs is 4 inches tall, halfway there will be a cap, this will be at 2 inches simple math

vertex forks fit normal

scs=4 inches. half of the scs clamps onto the fork, so that means 2 inches of clearance. you should be fine
