Senior Research Paper

Today my english teacher announced to the class that we would be starting the dreaded Senior Research paper.
While she was talking about it, I started to think about what I should pick as a topic. As soon as she said "Try to pick something you love, or that you have some kind of connection with," Naturally, Scooters and everything scooter-related popped into my head. I'm still not sure if I am going to do this, I need to clear it with my teacher first, and I don't think she will like the fact that I won't have many 'legitimate' sources.
Any topic ideas?
Keep in mind i need to be able to write 6 to 8 pages about this.
For the people who decide to help me out, THANK YOU.

i did one of these in 11th grade. it was great
i did it on legalization of marijuana in the USA

it went great! and i got a B on it
the 1st and only B i ever got in high school haha

Good luck bro.
Go with something that creates problems for the world, that can always ben drawn out as long as you want. Just suggesting solutions, ways you can solve it and what not.
I just did an assignment for biology, something like 7 pages long on Genetic modification + Cloning.
Easy.

Only 6-8 pages? Man what year is this for? Thats a joke compared to this stuff. But yeah, do porn dude.

the easy 1-2-3-uhhh 4 to research papers:

1) find a super broad topic that is realllllly easy to rant about, and make it a debatable topic. ( here is a free trial to an awesome website for any controversy/debatable topic ever http://www.fofweb.com/Trial )

2) take broad topic, hammer it into a good thesis statement supporting one side. if you want to show both sides and not take a stance, its a little harder but still pretty easy

3) if you took a side, spend 4 of your 8 pages ranting about why you are right. don't reference anything that may suggest you are wrong

4) take the opposing side, and crush it into the ground. tell why facts they may use may be misleading, or if they aren't telling the full truth with something.




example:

1) "Electronic Surveillance in Public Places"

2) Make a thesis about what you believe about it. It's a lot easier to argue for something you believe in strongly. example "The widespread use of technology to monitor the daily lives of people is a very effective way of fighting crime."

3) first four pages can be facts and details supporting how surveillence has caught many criminals since their use began (whenever it began)...

4) opposing side on that argument is really a rights issue. people beleive that their rights are being infringed upon being taped in convenience stores and whatever. say they have an option which stores to go into, and many innocent people always rant that they "have nothing to hide!" so why does it matter? blah blah.


idk ranting is always an easy grade, if you end up using that paper idea, reference the book 1984 by george orwell in the 2nd part, your grade will go ^^^^ haha.

Jackson, the title is "SENIOR research paper" so that would mean its for 12th grade. haha

Jordan, thats a great idea! But I really dont think I could write 6 pages on slushies. haha

haha no problem. i had an english 10 teacher that thought he was a college professor, and now ive taken english 11, a college english course, and now im in the middle of my next college english course.. sooo yeah. i get stuck writing papers a lot.

Yeah I didn't have to do a senior paper. But seriously, if you could do porn imagine how easy it would be. Talk about the intro, foreplay (I guess if deepthroating is foreplay), then the actual sex. Like all the different positions and stuff, then the cumshot. Then you could talk about different pornstars and stuff, the stories that are crafted into the film, it would basically be the most awesome thing ever. I'm temped to write a paper on it right now.
