Should I go for deck pins?

At the moment, I'm trying to drill holes down my TSI deck plate for deck pins. But I really didn't heard very much about it. And why aren't very many people riding it? It seems pretty cool, cause you don't have to change griptape, it doesn't get dirty, goos grip etc.
I'd like to hear from you guys who tried deck pins and tell me what you think.

I have a deck with pins but have yet to do any serious riding with it. It's my spare. I tried it a little on flat and it was super grippy. I don't know if this will hinder the ability to do turndowns and look backs though.

i have homemade deck pins, i like them a lot but i took some out and made a zig zag design because i would get gripped on the edged of my deck and not be able to land, so make sure you drill the holes like big S , depending on how you land your tricks decides how the curve should be made.

i got them, they're more grippy than griptape but they will ruin your shoes quicker. remember not to put too many pins in the deck. i have 7 on each side

I don't really want any cause I think that if I mess up and somehow the deck comes into contact with me it will cut me up a lot. Well more than I usually do. Wait! What?!?!

I have some just near the back of my deck, love it because turndowns, lookbacks, whip catches, etc. feel like pure SEX, and my feet stay alot more planted for trucks and stuff, but i can slide my foot near the front for fsf's.

I have a pinned deck, it's neat to ride, but it makes some tricks hard
if you like flowing a lot and going big, they're fun, but if you're throwing a lot of briflips and whips... where your feet move a lot or shift on the deck, they're probably a no no.
