Im not really a ska fan, but I dont mind listening to some Streetlight or Operation Ivy every once in a while.

My friend plays bass in 2 local ska bands, Oh So Rude and Robot Manhattan. Theyre pretty big around here.

ive heard more ska than any of you ever will, haha. i used to be realllly into it, i still love it but my listening habits have changed. i stil go to ska shows tho.

im not sure about the punk stuff but with hardcore, regular hardcore has alll screaming, no singing (most of the time) and post hardcore has both, at least thats what ive been told

You should check out Russkaja, its a local Ska (but it has some russian folk influences) Band that got pretty big. I saw them live 7 times haha
