Purchased me a nexus 7 a few weeks ago. Goes alright, unlocked and rooted it the other night so that I can use the microUSB OTG port to plug in my 500gb portable HDD so I can keep music, movies and big apps on that.

Going to need a new kernel though, stock one doesn't support NTFS and I've heard exFAT doesn't work either so I'm not even going to bother formatting it. Also still waiting on my cable which I ordered 2 days ago.

Was reading up on apple's latest case on suing samsung 1 billion and trying to stop their sales because samsung violated "patents." Reading further into the internet I found that Apple (who I already hate) are a bunch of butthurt uncreative fuckers who have a steep long history of suing a shit ton of cell phone makers for anything they can. They're literally trying to eliminate all competition and monopolize the industry now that they're finally outclassed and no longer the best selling smartphone. Don't make a better phone, just play scared. They sued makers of android tablets for "rounding the corners of the tablet" because rounded corners are apparently their thing and they did it first. They also sued some type of android phone because it had a "slide to unlock" feature to unlock it. How can they legally have a patent on everything? Jesus Christ, the list gets more ridiculous, fuck all you guys who want to support such a shitty company who doesn't care about their customers, only wants money, and makes an inferior yet overpriced and more expensive phone. You're all blind.

You shouldn't of even asked. Buy yourself a nexus 7 and spend the 400 bucks you saved on anti-apple propaganda.

Just read up on the features of both of them and decide which you like more. The only thing that the iPad has going for it is the bigger screen, but a lot of people (like myself) prefer the 7" screen. Much more comfortable.

Okay. I'm asking a lot of questions but... I "Soft Bricked" my phone. I can still get into download and recovery mode. is there any way to fix this?

Cheers for the advise guys. I went to a few shops today and done so playing around with a few devices. Decided the nexus 7 was well to small for me. i wanted somthing the size of the ipad just with andriod systems.

I ended up spending £399.99 on a ASUS transformer prime with keyboard dock. Its awesome!

twice as much GB than the ipad, better front and rear cameras, keyboard dock, better res screen. ice cream sandwich. SD card solt. usb slot. up to twice the battery life.

so far highly recommended!
