So I went into my local welder shop and..

I can get 20 feet of buff/ 1 piece bar steertubing for less that 20 bucks.
It is ALOT cheaper to make bars and for buffs all you need is a drill

Haha, was thinking the exact same thing, Brian. You need a saw to cut, file to smooth rough edges, drill to add holes for the stem.

But what makes BUFF's the price they were, was the stem and clamp. The stems by themselves usually sell for around $40-60. Plus the clamp, labor, materials and shipping. It adds up.

they dont come with clamps anymore.... but yeah i know what u mean, they are totally worth the price. buffs are the only bars ill ride. they are really light too (since they are aluminum)

i'd just like to take this time to say that buffs are quite possibly the best scooter part ever made. they're really light, really strong, interchangeable and customizable, and have lasted longer than any other part i've ever had.

my only problem with buffs is they bend quicker than one pieces IF you use the stock aluminum cross bar. and the clamp hurts on barspins if you fall a lot like me :(

aluminum tub, chromoly crossbar. if the stem hurts you, put on different bolts or get/make a pad.

that sounds a bit cheap for the metal, its probably a weaker alloy and may be a bulk price. also, its only one part.
