what's the scoot scene like in fleet , met someone from the fleet skate shop yesterday , he just said there were scooterers that did hitch hickers lol is there a good skatepark or anything ?

What?! Hitch hikers? That my friend, is bullshit. Probably Leon told you that. He is the biggest bullshitter you have seen. Well there are mixed reviews about fleet. There are quite a few good riders. Not good enough for a decent sponsor but still good. But then it is also littered with little kids, and it makes the rest of us look bad. Its a shit park to be honest aswell. But yeah the scene is pretty big in fleet.

Hang5 is active. About 50x more active than this. But it would be nice to get the original forum up and going again. Everyone else stays on here, so why do we have to be different and jump between forums like homeless people in bus shelters.

I think you will find the most experienced people in the country go on there. And it depends what your interpretation of 'Slow' is. I would say this is slow and Hang5 is normal.
