someone PLEASE help me, im fucked if this doesnt get answered.

ok, so my camera WONT eject my DV tapes. i hit the button, and nothing happens. its just dead. idk what to do. and also, it randomly stopped recording sound. i didnt change any sound settings, it just stopped recording it.

HELP ME :((

i have a canon GL1, btw.

I know I won't be very helpful with the issue you have,
but it's time to move on to solid state memory camcorders.

lol, you shouldn't have gotten the gl1 in the first place.

ik that doesn't help you at all lol. take it apart? send it to canon?

The only ones worth buying are out of most peoples budget.

Call Canon, or swing over to BH. I think its a common problem.

I'd send it to videoelectronics... I've sent 2 cameras there and they have great service and get it done in a day or two. It will probably cost around $100 though.

Typical SP answer. He can save a bunch of money on shipping if he just takes the train to BH photo, which has the best reputation in cameras.

Yeah Ive heard of ve from sp.. But they are very legit. why wouldnt they be?

Never said they weren't legit, but if you live near the biggest camera store in the US or maybe world, i would probably take it there rather then dishing out money on shipping. If you take it to BH in person it might be something simple that they can fix for free.
