something ive always wondered.

Kso on currently active users (down the bottom of main forums page) there are always these "spiders" called like "yahoo slurp spider" and "MSNbot spider" online viewing really random threads.
what are they?

yea right now msn, google, ask jeeves, and yahoo spiders are online. and theres alot of them. i hate spiders someone kill them.

They index web pages to be shown in searches on those search engines. They're harmless.

edit: actually I don't think they're a bad thing. Guy here says: "They're bots like Google who crawl around your forum and record posts and that such stuff for their own information."

They're completely harmless. It's so the site/threads/etc. show up in web pages when you use those search engines.
