i think only mods/admins can actually delete them.

peace keepers/regular mods can only soft delete.

moderated means unapproved. so it doesnt show up to regular members.

99% of spam posts arent seen by normal members. thank god

Just deleted about 80 threads and banned bitches, all from general discussion. Too much effort on my phone to keep going haha.

Yeah I just constantly see "moderated threads" on about the whole page save three real posts. So I have to go in and physically remove them so I can actually read the forum. And yeah it can't be seen by normal members but it just bugs me.

Same. I do the thing you said in that other thread about spam, Dibbs. The "Delete Posts as Spam" option, and ban them. I deleted 17 at one time the other day. :/

I normally delete about 10-15 at a time. I haven't been on much lately, sorry about that everyone.. I've been having some family problems recently.

Haha. I see a page full of Moderated threads and go at them like a bull (You could say they are coloured red haha). There ain't no spam threads left standing once I see them

So if i see a bot/spambot/whatever, do i perma ban and delete thread straight away?

Yeah, check the threads and at the bottom the mod dropdown panel says "delete threads as spam." Make the next page look like this..

But be careful because some Members just don't talk properly and their thread gets unapproved. So you need to check the post sometimes to make sure you aren't banning an actual member.

Has anything been done with login security/codes or whatever? I just noticed there's pretty much NO spam in the general discussion section - and that's where I see it usually.
Is it just that someone got to them recently? ... Or was something done?
Just curious.

Well since I've been a mod I have probably banned about 100 odd bots. So we are probably eradicating them like a disease haha. They will be back but not as many of them.

I'm not 100% sure how spam/spambots work but I don't think it's quite like that; they seem to come in waves usually. And at random times. But I saw ZERO spam threads when I was looking around earlier. I just thought it was weird. And yeah, unfortunately they will probably keep coming back. :/
