Spins out of boardslides?

Okay well I can do grinds to spins on ledges completely fine, like 100% of the time. But I just can't seem to spin the slightest bit when doing spins off rails. It's damn impossible hahah. Any tips?

i can only 180 out, when you grind like keep spinning towards the way you hopped while your grinding then youll land in fakie, thats how i do it hha

try it on a flat rail that isnt very waxed and learn to get the pop first, then the spins will come later

That might be a problem, I grind fast on rails, and wax them to hell. But I never thought of really popping off, thanks!

I would trying maybe tapping the end of the rail then spinning, then work on hitting the rail more and more. But there is a local down rail its like a 3 foot slant with a rail like 2 feet high, would i be better off double pegging it, or boarding it? I hate rails and its sorta my first down rail :/

downrails are easier to learn double pegs, id get boardslides down on a flat rail before a downrail, Even on a flat rail you fall backwards alot

is it long? Like if you actually have to balance to stay on it you should be good to hit a down rail but when you hop onto it you have to tilt yourself way more forward, just make sure your deck goes flat on the rail, you dont want to be leaning back at all

Its so much easier to do tricks off of grinds if you compress your knees SLOWLY while you're grinding then pop STRAIGHT off what you're grinding. So if it's a flatbar, pop straight up, and if its a down rail, pop straight out, perpendicular to the rail.

That's the biggest mistake people make, either not jumping off squarely, or trying to compress and hop in an instant, which results in a loss of balance.
