Also, I am not trying to make this format for JUST the SD comp... I want to create a standard format for all of you guys to use when you have comps so they all run the same which is why I'm asking for everyones input.

EDIT: This is what I've come up with so far after talking to Nooner and adding a few things on my own, Obviously the date and times would be different for other comps...

Park: KRAUSE FAMILY SKATE/BIKE PARK Clairemont ( http://www.ymca.org/missionvalley/english/index_youth_skatepark.html )

Date: December 30, 2006 (December 31 if the 30 gets rained out so don't plan on leaving until Sunday night just in case!!!)

Registration/Warm-up: 9-10AM

Classes/Fees: (beginner/$15, intermediate$20, advanced$25)

Runs: 90 second long SOLO runs, no jam format.

Run 1: (beginner, intermediate, advanced) 10-11:30AM

Run 2: (beginner, intermediate, advanced) 11:30-1PM

Run 3: (beginner, intermediate, advanced) 1-2:30PM

Judging:

- 3 judges
- 100 possible points per judge per run (300 total per run divided by 3 gives you something under 100 per run)
- Judged based on (Style 20%, Consistency 20%, Amplitude 20%, Originality 20%, Trick Difficulty 20%)
- Lowest scoring run gets dropped (best 2 out of 3)

BEST TRICK: Open to anyone, 5 attempts (best trick counts) judged (Style 25%, Amplitude 25%, Originality 25%, Trick Difficulty 25%)

Beginner/Intermediate Prizes: 1st-3rd place, prize packages, scooters

Advanced Prizes: 1st-3rd place, prize packages, scooters, CASH (half the pro entry split between top 3)

Best Trick Prize: Something cool, maybe money?

Sponsors: Razor Scooters, Fuzion Scooters(hopefully), ScooterResource.com

i think in best trick it just should be a 10 min time lilmt and u get has much trys has u can get in cuz 5 trys is kinda ruing the whole best trick set up

25 is way to much to pay for a scooter comp

I got myself banned.
10 minutes is way too long, imagine how many people are going to be in the best trick comp? 3 tries is what it was at TIC and XW and i think thats fair and 5 is even fairer.

25 is too much? The other competitions were around the same price and no one ever had a problem with it. Its like paying for 2 sessions at a park.

I own SR.
10 minutes would mean a jam and jams are lame. Like Brian said, previous comps have just had 3 attempts so 5 is more than enough.

Also, 25 dollars is nothing, get a job. Besides, $25 is only for the advanced class and half if it goes back into prizes, cash rewards and trophies.

Competitions don't just pay for themselves.

well idk leaves, its gunna be a lot of younger kids entering the beginner one so it makes sense to make that cheaper, plus theyre paying less because the arent going to win as much back if they get 1st. whereas if pro pays as much as beginner, theyre winning back way more than the beginner would.

i dont love the idea of 1st run for all classes at once and so on, i think it should be all runs for beginners at one time, then all intermediate, then all advanced, otherwise it will seem kind of scattered, and an advanced person going first after an intermediate might get judged really high, if theres a break between the judges arent going to see the difference between pro and intermediate as easily..if anyone knows what i mean haha
