well ive just done the same thing as you man

traded my sr for a french id

i didnt get cash with frnech id however..

i felt i needed a change as i had my sr fork for like 9 months, i wanted some thing new
and french ids are awesoem man! the actualy tubing was pretty thick witch suprised me

SR forks are probably going to out last a French ID fork in the long run, and the extra weight carried by a SR fork makes tricks like fingerwhips and tailwhips easier.

I wanted to trade my SR fork, but eventually I just decided to make a tank scooter for park and gaps (SR Fork, Inwards), and a light scooter with Rad OGs and a French ID fork.

What? Because a few people get defective ones from a bad batch? Breaking means actually snapping or bending them from actually riding, not them breaking from being defective with compression systems. And if you get a non defective one that are the best forks everrrrr.

YOU CANT COMPAIR APPLES TO ORANGES!!! they are two totally different types of forkss!!! french ids are better for street and are not scs friendy unless pinned. sr and proto forks are good for everthing. and are steel.

steel is way stronger the heat threaded cnc'd aluminum. so sr forks and proto forks are stronger by material. think about it!!!

anythiong that is made by machine it a big batch there is bound to be a few defective ones in there. look at protos. look at french id forks. look at clothing. look at anything mass produced. sh!t even pros come fucked up every now and then.

i ride street and i ride a french it fork. i used to ride an sr fork [v2.3] and between the two. here is what i came up with

frID in stree
+light
+low profile
+sexy
+solid on the legs
+easy to get the wheel out of
-aluminum
-flex in the fork tube [probally cuz i ride 24 high]
-glued and not cnc'd one piece or welded.


sr fork
+steel
+soooo solid
+ threaded or threadless
-bulky
-heavy [kinda if your a wieght freak]


i havent riden a striker fork on my scoot. but i have seen them up close.

if french id forks were pressur fitted and welded like pro forks are that would be the best thing. welds>glue

Still i wouldent trust a glued fork anyway.
