no, bars dont need to be, infact i dont think any bars are, i think the threads just get cut into the bars when they are tightened up for the first time.

edit: for anyone who wants to know i just did this so i may aswell post it up

37 euros = Ã?Æ?Ã?â??Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¡Ã?Æ?ââ?¬Å¡Ã?â??Ã?£26.7226 or $54.2549
63 euros = Ã?Æ?Ã?â??Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¡Ã?Æ?ââ?¬Å¡Ã?â??Ã?£45.5006 or $92.3800

Word. ALL bars are originally threadless and they get threads because of tightening. Especially aluminium bars.

umm... yea, thanks for the comparsion, although those numbers change every hour.
And i might sell only in Euros, because american dollar is crashing too hard and we estonians have a fixed currency rate between EEK and EUR.

Rob was just trying to help, it's a rough idea for people who don't know how much a Ã?Æ?Ã?â??Ã?â??Ã?¢Ã?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?â?¦Ã?¡Ã?Æ?ââ?¬Å¡Ã?â??Ã?¬ is worth, it doesn't have to be exact to a 4th decimal place every hour.
I think someone on French ID (might have been bibito, not sure) said they might be making forks but yeah they probably wont be out until next year sometime.

yeah, i didnt mean to say sell in dollars sorry, i just put it up there because some people interested in buying might have been like "37 euros, well whats that, how much of my currency should i save up with?". now people who work in GB can understand how much money they need/will be parting with.

Threaded looks almost the same as threadless, only the top part of the forktube is threaded instead of threadless.
I don't have a pic, sorry.

I own SR.
As we start making the new batches for Christmas we will update all the product photos in the store. The legs on the threadless and threaded are identical and yes, they are "buff".

perhaps if it were a couple of weeks into 08 i would be interested in buying some wee bars, sr threadless fork and compression kit. would it be possible for you to set it up aka put the nut in the bars for me? i would probably be interested late january so i can get a bit of money up my sleeve.

I could probably do it for some fee, BUT i'm concerned about the depth, because it all depends on the headtube's and headset's heights. Well we can discuss that later.

If you order a threaded fork, then no.
If you order a threadless fork, then yes.
