I've thought about it and it's been talked about a lot. I don't offer any products aside from SR shirts so it would pretty much be a bragging rights type deal which is why I've never done anything with it. What do you guys think?

I think its a good idea it might be a better way to spread the word of SR a little more.

I think it would be cool. I say you should keep it underground and dont let the riders tell anyone about it, film a video and release that with the annoucment that theres an sr team. I dunno how that would workout though

That sounds like a really good idea, however, no one is ever able to keep "secrets" in this sport. Someone always tells someone something and it spreads like wildfire but we'll see.

I was also thinking about letting the community vote for the team.

Also, how many spots should be available? I was thinking either a super "elite" 3 or 5. I'm not going any bigger then that because I don't want to deal with it. 5 might even be a little much.

Good riders come and go, wait and see. Because the community would vote for those who have posted recently posted good crazy scary combos and intence riding, eclipsing (is that a word at all?) all those good riders that have been a little forgotten or who haven't posted up any videos for the public.

I say this idea should be pending for an year. (one more reason in PM).

Answer for "3 vs 5": 3 - less do deal with; makes the team much more special.

Im not saying this to be all "mean" to the popular riders out there but There are alot of riders out there that i personally think are better than the popular 5-8 or so. I personally like style and consistansy <-- no idea how to spell it.. there should be a like votes for best style/over all consistancsy<-- there it is again... and like overall skill but i dont know it would be really hard to keep on the DL if even a single hint got out about it it would spread within a matter of hours.

Consistency. Don't worry though, it's the thought that counts... lol. But yea I agree with both of you. I think there are a lot of riders who have killer style and skill that are being over looked and I really want to give them a chance to get their name out there. Really the only way to keep it on the "DL" would be for me to handpick the people and just announce it but I hate to do it because I know it wouldn't be a fair decision. Not everyone will agree on who deserves the spots and it will be impossible for me to fairly evaluate every single person. It is impossible for me to watch every single video, look at every single picture and read every single thread so I know no matter how thorough I try to be about selecting the 3/5 people I will still be overlooking someone.

It's your team, that's what you see at the chosen ones. The community people would just say that recent "heroes" for example like Jesse, Phil, Coedie, Cary should be in the team - that's democracy based on late events.
Do you want that democracy or you want to pick your own?

That's what i was pointing earlier - this idea should be pending, because of the reasons i said and you can observe more and more.
