EDIT: Just go with your mind, if your happy with the coastguard then stay if your not then quit.

Either way, serving our country is a very respectable career and anyone who disagrees is either not from America or unAmerican and in both cases their opinions don't really matter.
So just because someone thinks that you shouldn't join the military makes them unAmerican?

Its up to you man, but whatever you do, I wish you the best of luck and hope everything works out for you.

well, I'm glad your only joining the Coast Guard. if it was any other branch I would probably tell you not to join. i know i wouldn't want to, which is mainly because i'm a little wussy afraid of dieing, i'll admit it.

anyways, good luck dude. make a video before you go! please :)

I agree to disagree. Part of being an american (if I am correct) is having the right to express yourself freely, so just because somebody thinks in a different way doesn't mean you have to label them (ie. unpatriotic, etc.)

I do think that serving your country in the military is respectable, because it's a job that needs to be done, and props to all the people who have decided to throw their hat into the ring to do what they think is right for their country.

ps. don't go and think that I support war and all that, I don't in case you're all wondering.

Wow lot of feedback...Not sure where to begin, yea Brian i was going to go a couple years back...but got that felony, thrown in Jail a couple years later because of that felony and a warrant that i didnt know was out for my arrest. Barret, i am going to meet you one day. Just a matter of time. TomTom, ill talk to you on the phone sometime about it all, or ill talk to your sister. Everyone else thanks for the support. And about me dying and not getting to use all the benefits, You get 400 thousand dollars life insurance...so if i die, im making sure my family is getting all that money....My moms not really talking to me right now, because of my decision, my father isnt all to happy either. Ill admit i am a little nervous, seeing as once you sign those papers your there for 4 years..Anyways, thanks guys for all the feedback.
